We had an amazing stay at this venue. The shared kitchen was one of the cleanest we found during our travels, and there were great spaces to relax by the fire or TV. The dorms were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The sauna was a nice touch and it was so convenient being close to the Mount Cook National Park.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious yet comfortable stay with great amenities.

I had a good stay at a hostel in the fine area of Mount Cook. The lounge area was cozy with comfortable couches and a warm fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly and were great too assist me in planning my treks and providing weather updates. The bathrooms and kitchen were spacious and clean, making my stay all the more comfortable. Despite the lack of a nearby supermarket, the hostel had a good selection of basic foods available for purchase. I highly recommend this hostel for its comfortable and cozy atmosphere, as well as its convenient proximity to Mount Cook.

The location was great, with a quick 4-minute shortcut to the Chamois bar & grill. The hostel had plenty of cooking stations and seating, with nice touches like providing oil and herbs. The common areas of the hostel were spacious and well-heated, making it a comfortable place to relax and socialize. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery and crockery, making it easy to prepare meals. The wooden finish of the building added a lovely touch, and the view of the stars outside on a clear night was amazing. The addition of a sauna was also a nice touch.
The bunk beds in the room were quite squeaky, causing disturbances throughout the night. The walls were also quite thin, making it difficult to sleep with loud neighbors.

Had a great Xmas stay in the area. The location was ideal for hikes, and we enjoyed the nearby Hooker Trail. The communal kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the complementary tea and coffee. The communal areas were spacious and comfortable, with great views of the surrounding mountains.
The 8-person dorm was a bit cramped, and it got noisy at times despite the layout. , we were disappointed that the pillowcases weren't changed between guests.

Had a fantastic Christmas stay with great complementary breakfast and dinner, a perfect location just a short walk from the restaurant and shop, plus an amazing sauna to relax in after a long day of hiking. the hostel had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and was in an incredibly peaceful location.
Our bed wasn't as comfortable as we had hoped, and unfortunately we had noisy roommates who didn't respect hostel etiquette. the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, but overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this amazing location.

The location is perfect for hikers due to its proximity to popular hikes. the spacious kitchens are well equipped and there's plenty of showers and toilets. the staff is helpful and you can reserve a certain bunk. the drying room is a great addition, especially when the weather isn't on your side.
The bunk beds in the dorm are a bit shaky, which can be annoying if you're a light sleeper.
